    So happy we found this one... The plug-in does just what we need, allowing us to estimate individual issues across multiple roles on the team, and tracking time individually by role. We requested help with a couple of challenges specific to how our team works when we first installed the plugin, and ADWEB not only responded quickly, they also added features to the plug-in to accommodate our needs.     Very good plugin for automatic assignments of tickets to the right persons in your organisation. The role based estimations and time trackings gives you the necessary insights into your efforts. Even more important - the team is very responsive to suggestions, questions and issues. Thanks a lot for your support and commitment! (Updated from 3 to 4 stars after some bugs get fixed.)

    This is an excellent plugin that fits very nicely into my company's use case. It provides the flexibility for any team member to provide estimates for each issue without the cumbersome overhead of needing to create separate subtasks. Since we allow outside users (customers) access to our JIRA, it's important to be able to control visibility for the estimate fields, as they are used for our own internal tracking, which this plugin provides. Additionally, the estimate reports (which take any JQL filter as input) are very well done, as well as the sprint report which shows the workload distribution per team member. Last but not least, the developers are open to suggestions and very responsive. Highly recommend this plugin!

    Hello- Overall thought this was fairly promising but found the lack of csv import support to be a showstopper for use. If you are bulk importing issues you cannot specify original estimates by role, so as a 2nd step you will need to go into the individual tickets and populate the values. Couple other suggestions: - add a gadget similar to the workload pie chart that shows estimate/spent/remaining by role - only show the role based estimates UI on issue types where it is enabled (currently once the plugin is turned on it shows up in all issue types in your DB)

    Hi Bandersen. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions. For your query on the CSV import support and gadget similar to pie chart, we are considering it on our road map to be released in our future versions.

    On your last query on issue type, when you create the role scheme, you can set up different configuration for any of the issue types for which you want to use the roles. For the rest of the issue types, a default role configuration can be chosen in each of the schemes. If the default configuration is set to 'None', then no role will be displayed, and the 'Time Tracking (By Roles)' custom field will behave just like built in custom field.

    This add-on has helped us greatly improve our estimation process by separating our Dev and QA estimates on issues. One of the best things about having this add-on is the support we have received from the ADWEB team. They always respond very quickly with any issue we have reported and not only respond, but also resolve very quickly as well with updates to their add-on. Their support is EXCEPTIONAL and looking forward to their on-going enhancements to their product.

    How does server app pricing work?

    Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my server pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

    How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Jira Ultimate Role Tracking & Estimation via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Jira Ultimate Role Tracking & Estimation. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Jira Ultimate Role Tracking & Estimation begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.
