Dear Support, We are running the 'Page Information Tools' as a free plugin with our Confluence v 5. Regarding our plan to upgrade to Confluence 6: do we have to get this ScriptRunner (and so to pay for it)? Or is it an alternative to keep Page Information Tools for free (with Confluence 6)? Thank you,

    Hi FPFIS Support,

Thank you for your review of Page Info for ScriptRunner Confluence. To answer your question, yes, you will need to have a ScriptRunner license when you transition to Confluence 6. This is because Page Info for Confluence 6 onwards is dependent on ScriptRunner.

We believe that Page Info is a great add-on that should continue to be supported and the best way that we could do this was to bundle it together with ScriptRunner for Confluence. This means that, with a license to ScriptRunner, you have a team that is dedicated to both supporting the product and are excited about improving it.

Just to add, the version that you current have is still free and will continue to be free. It is only when you upgrade that you will require ScriptRunner for Confluence. The same applies with Confluence itself. You can continue to use the same version without paying any more, you only pay when you update.

To find out more about ScriptRunner for Confluence and how it can make your Confluence admin more effective, please feel free to visit our marketplace page . Also, to read a little bit more about why we moved Page Info over to ScriptRunner please feel free to head over to our blog.

In future, to get quicker responses for support or licensing questions please could you raise a ticket on our portal.

    All the best,

    Dylan Lindsay

This Addon is *not* free, it *was* free... Nothing against the ScriptRunner Suit, its a great toolkit for admin but taggin it as a "Free add-on" is missleading.

    Hi Michael,

My name is Rafael Franco and I'm the Tech Lead of the Product Team here at Adaptavist. Thank you for your review for Page Info for ScriptRunner Confluence.

I understand your point of view regarding the add-on being free, but understand that this is due to a limitation of the Atlassian Marketplace. If we were to make it "paid" then we would be forced to charge customers at least $10 for it, this is the minimum required by Atlassian, so customers would end up having to pay for Page Info and additionally having to pay for ScriptRunner for Confluence thus the reason why we left it free.

Also, even though it's free, it is now considered Commercial from our end which means that you get all the SLA's of a Commercial license such as premium support (answers in 24h or less) and a much more responsive bug fixing and feature requests.

Hope this clears it out, but I'm happy to discuss this in detail if you care to send me an email to rfranco@adaptavist.com

    Hi Hilli,

My name is Rafael Franco and I'm the Tech Lead of the Product Team here at Adaptavist. Thank you so much for your kind review for Page Information for Confluence.

We're very excited with the future of Create Page, Label Tools and Page Information add-ons since starting from the next release they will be part of ScriptRunner for Confluence! This will allow you to use the add-on with ScriptRunner and further extend it and customize as needed. The next release will contain several fixes and improve the usability, together with compatibility with Confluence 6.x. We expect this to come soon.

Bear in mind that for the next version of the add-on to work, you will need ScriptRunner for Confluence

Hope you're as excited as we are, and we hope to provide this as soon as possible.

We'll release a blog post in the coming days explaining this process.
