I use currently the latest version of the Community Forums Addons and am thrilled. The actual add-on installation very painless and I came right away with this extension handle. I was a little impatient, but the development team of this addon had fixed more quickly than expected on my part Bug found and I was able to do the work in my small internal Forum on. Thus, I can happily recommend this addon on and will try to work with it permanently. The support was good and courteous, so I was very happy with it. What could I want more?!

    Hi Alexander,

Thank you so much for such a nice review! We're glad that we managed to sort out all your issues and we really appreciate the feedback you may have in order to further improve the plugin.

Please don't hesitate to explore other of our plugins such as the newly released ScriptRunner for Confluence or Forms for Confluence since they really help taking Confluence to another level.

I'm using the trial version right now, I wanted to know how do we export the comments in a forum. I know it gets listed but there is no option to export.

    Adaptavist

    Hi Bosco,

Could I ask you to clarify on your use case? At the moment it is not possible to export comments on a page using the pdf or word export functionality in Confluence. We currently recommend that customers use the browser exporter to achieve this. You can do this by using the browsers print functionality and setting the destination as PDF.

If you would like to discuss this or require any direct support for this or any other issues then please do not hesitate to contact us via plugins-support@adaptavist.com

It's been a month since Confluence 5.7 got released 3 weeks since Hessom Arta promised an release that would support 5.7 would be released. It's clear that this is one of those plugins that cant keep up with Atlassian releases despite having early access to Atlassian Confluence releases hence should be capable of releasing a newer version of the plugin at the same time or shortly after there is a new release of confluence, which in turn forces administrators in infrastructure to hold back upgrades until an supported release of the plugin is released. It would be good if Atlassian did a better job of policing their marketplace and drop those plugin vendors of it if they cant keep up with Atlassian release cycle of their products.

    Hi Johann,

Firstly, please accept our apologies for the delay in releasing a 5.7 compatible version. With that version we also introduced a new feature, integration with our Rate Macro which required additional development and testing. We also provided some minor bug fixes which we wanted to address before releasing a compatible version. We released this on the 3rd of March. As per my reply to David Wu below, Community Forums was scheduled to enter testing early in February. as we uncovered issues in testing we could not release a version of the add-on. I apologise if this misled you in any way however this was not intended as a promise to release a compatible add-on by a specific date but an indication that we were working on the compatibility release and aiming to release as soon as possible.

We are committed to delivering high quality releases whilst also aiming to maintain compatibility with the latest versions of Confluence and from time to time this can cause unforeseen delays. We aim to provide compatibility with the latest version of Confluence within two weeks of a release. Unfortunately this wasn't possible this time and we've taken steps to improve this for the future. If you require any assistance or are facing issues with Community Forums please do feel free to contact our support team who will be more than happy to assist you.

    Kind Regards,

    Hessom Arta

    Hi David,

Very happy to hear you're enjoying Community Forums. We're looking to provide compatibility for 5.7 very soon and this add-on should be entering testing within the coming days. I'll be sure to update you once we've released this to the marketplace.

If you'd like to provide any further feedback or suggestions for this add-on, please do feel free to contact us via our website.

    Kind Regards,

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
