This is a really powerful macro that is helping us take our Confluence instance to a much higher level! What's more the support and care offered by the Adaptavist team is second to none. We recently raised a bug with the team and it was addressed professionally and, more importantly, quickly! Other plugin suppliers could learn alot from the Adaptavist way! Highly recommend!

The next plugin that was switched from free to paid. It is ok to get paid for its work but your hway is very doubtful. By switching a free plugin to a paid one you steal the amount of user installations and reviews that you got for a free one. You really shoud create a new plugin with a new id. Anything else is f** the customer.

    Hi Leo,

At Adaptavist we're passionate about creating top-notch add-ons that enable you to do more with your Atlassian suite. As a business, we needed to move Content Formatting for Confluence into a fully paid model (from a premium paid and free model) in order to continue to support and develop it.

All previously free versions still remain and will continue to be free. These can be found on versions tab of the marketplace listing. It's only when users upgrade to Confluence 6 that we've asked them to choose whether they feel Content Formatting for Confluence is worth paying for.

    Kind Regards,

    Dylan Lindsay

Overall a very good plugin for us, and used across the spaces in our wiki. We are far from power users, but have found several of the macros very useful. After the upgrade to 6, we found a bug in the handling of tabs. The bug was acknowledged within one business day and fixed within a week. Very nice turnaround. (y)

    Hi Gustaf,

Thank you for your review and thank you for raising the bug with us! We're constantly trying to improve Content Formatting for Confluence and, if you're not already aware, we've recently added lazy loading of tabs. This feature improvement should enable quicker page load times and is available in the latest version.

Please feel free to contact us again if you run into any trouble.

    All the best,

    Pricing

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Add-ons are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
