I like the idea of this plugin, as it is a feature that I really think is missing from Jira - the ability to plan releases across multiple versions across multiple projects. For a business with multiple distinct, but related, projects this is essential. There doesn't seem to be anything out there that does anything similar. ReleaseDog nearly comes up to scratch, but there are a few major issues that I cannot seem to overcome: The main issue is that the release notes format seems to be hard coded. We've taken the time to create release notes formats for the projects, and we'd like to use these for the consolidated release notes. The only format available seems to be a text-only format which is no use to us or our customers. There are some other minor issues such as the UI is a bit clunky and it doesn't really fit the Jira UI scheme, the release key format is somewhat limited and the access control is not ideal - but if it did what I needed I wouldn't care.

This plugin (which should be integrated into Jira itself) is exactly what we've been looking for and is perfect for our needs as we have a few dozen projects and adding a new version to each was painful.

Hi, I want to change status of issues in release package as done after successful release. Is it possible with this add-on? Thanks.

Useful plugin and our release manager couldn't do without it. But compability with JIRA newer versions is really lagging behind more and more each time. JIRA 6.0 came 2013-05-21 and plugin made compatible 2013-06-13 JIRA 6.1 came 2013-09-24 and as of today ReleaseDog is still not compatible with it. I sent a question to plugin vendor by e-mail over a week ago and still haven't got any reply.
