Save keystrokes by defining your own LaTeX macros

Whether you prefer to type your math expressions in LaTeX, AsciiMath or MathML, you can instantly see as you type how they will look like. The best output format is automatically chosen for you (MathML, HTML/CSS or SVG).

Block and inline math expressions are supported. References to equations are possible even to other Confluence pages. When a Confluence page is exported as a PDF, math formulas are exported as well.

LaTeX macros can be saved in the add-on settings and are available in all math equations. No more code duplication and less errors!

    More details

Beautiful Math for Confluence allows you to integrate math expressions into your Confluence pages with the same quality as you are used to from scientific papers. You are free to use your favorite math language: LaTeX, AsciiMath and MathML are currently supported.

You can integrate your math expressions either inline in your text or on a separate line as a block. To render your math, you can choose between two modes: "HTML/CSS or MathML" uses MathML if the client's browser supports it well enough and provides the best possible performance. If the browser does not, HTML/CSS is used which offers the best compatibility. Beside that, the add-on also supports SVG and the export of pages with math formulas to PDF.

If you use LaTeX, you can choose to let your math equations being numbered and you can also link them - even if they are on a different Confluence page. And if you like to work with LaTeX macros, you can define them in the add-on properties and use them in your math expressions.

We're heavy users of equations on our Confluence pages and were excited to discover that a LaTeX plugin for OnDemand was available. And its core functionality works really well. However... # Can't seem to be able to get equations to appear in an exported PDF. Exporting to Word shows a bunch of "Beautiful Mind add-on failed to load" messages. Trying to browse Mibex's JIRA Issues to see if anyone else has the same problem doesn't work because they appear to have disabled anonymous browse. Not being able to generate PDFs from our pages is a show-stopper for us. # Also I'm concerned that if we migrate from OnDemand to a stand-alone Server instance of Confluence later, we'll lose all our equations. So, very nearly but not quite. Sorry guys.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Export to PDF is now available since the latest release 1.0.5. Yes, we want users to be registered on our JIRA instance so they can be informed easily when questions come up or when we have fixed the reported issue. If you don't want to create an account, you can also write us an e-mail to our vendor support address or ask questions on Atlassian answers (please use the tag addon-ch.mibex.confluence.beautifulmath).

Hi, thank you for your interest in Beautiful Math for Confluence Cloud. We are sorry, but at this stage we do not have any plans to develop a version for Confluence server. You might want to try one of the already existing non-Cloud math add-ons in the marketplace. Kind regards, Michael from Mibex Software

Excellent plugin to integrate Latex into Confluence. Works really well. I wish there would be a better export option but as far as I know it's limited by onDemand itself at the moment. Excellent and highly recommended.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does cloud add-on pricing work?

Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically adjusted (as necessary) based on the number of users in your instance.

If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, add-ons are also billed annually. Annual subscriptions for this add-on include a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing tier?

The cloud add-on tier is set automatically based on the license tier of the host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Cloud license for 25 users, your add-on tier is 25 users.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud add-ons, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

Mibex Software GmbH is an vendor, committed to providing support for their add-ons at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
