Design panelboxes in the add-on configuration

Users choose from a set of pre-styled panelboxes

    Configuration changes are implemented immediately

Confluence administrators can configure a range of panelboxes in the add-on configuration, defining design elements to ensure a consistent look for all users.

Confluence users can choose their own preferred style of panelboxes from the range of pre-styled configurations. This saves time as users simply select their choice, without having to work with the macro parameters.

Changes made in the panelbox configuration by the system administrator only have to be made once and are implemented immediately.

    More details

The Panelbox add-on is a useful tool to provide users with structured styles for displaying text. Specifying the design of the panelbox options ensures the corporate identity is maintained and users can interact with the system easily.

Users do not need to work with the macro parameters as Confluence administrators configure the panelboxes in the add-on configuration.

    • specify the design of panelboxes
    • maintain a consistent corporate identity
    • provide users with pre-defined styles for displaying text
    • configuration changes are effective immediately

The idea is so basic and important for maintaining consistency that I have to agree with Michael Brinson - it should be a standard feature. I really enjoyed the using the plugin while it was free. As it's no longer free and I only need (and want) a couple of standard panel boxes to keep consistency across the instances I support I decided to roll my own plugin instead of staying with bitvoodoo :( https://bitbucket.org/selberg/navigation-box It is sad that the maintenance work on a plugin like this is not so much driven by new features, but rather the tendency of Atlassian to make changes that break existing releases and don't document the changes forcing 3rd party developers to spend excessive time figuring out how to be compatible with the new version.

This plugin is FANTASTIC! This really is one of those plugins that should come standard with confluence out of the box. Thank goodness for bitvoodoo for filling in the gap for confluence. Come to think of it Bitvoodoo has a lot of great plugins for confluence. Have you tried their "Navitabs" plugin? AWESOME!!

Great plugin, we are using this on most of our pages. People like the easy usage of predefined (company colors,...) boxes. Thanks for this great piece of software...AND this is free!!!

with this plugin you can forget about what parameters you used to that panel on one page. Using this plugin it is easy to create templates for panels on a very convenient way. Thanks for this

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
