An easy way to achive a simple navigation between Confluence pages

Display childpages as tabs with the Navitabs macro

Choose vertical tabs if you have lots of tabs

Use local tabs to group content on the same page

The Navitabs macro generates tabs for all childpages of the current or a specified page. It's even possible to generate the tabs based on specified labels.

Display the tabs vertically if you have a large number of tabs to display.

Use the Localtabs macro to group content on the same page by multiple tabs.

Great little plugin. Makes long pages more manageable. One thing to mention with v4.0.8 if you have tabs with the same title then they stop working correctly. This didn't happen with prior versions.

Added new ID parameter for localtab macro to allow linking to tabs.

Fixed problems with automatic tab ID generation.


  1. Log into your Confluence instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate Navitabs Plugin via search. Results include add-on versions compatible with your Confluence instance.
  5. Click Install to download and install your add-on.
  6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
