Very useful Plugin. Though I found one issue when creating tag in the UI with Tag Maker it is not getting synced to the forked repositories with fork sync enabled.

Nice plugin. Can same tag be attached to multiple commits....?

    Hello Guarav,

    Thanks for the kind words!

The plugin uses the standard git functionality to tag commits. Since it's not possible in git to add a tag to multiple commits, it will not be possible to do this with the plugin.

Very nice and useful plugin. One issue I have is that it doesn't respond to the Branch Permission pattern for tags such as "refs/tags/" or "tags/". Branch permissions with such patterns would prevent users to delete tags based on certain rules. But this plugin appears not to check with branch permission and allow delete tag anyway. Suggest this in the new release.

    Hello Andy,

Thank you for the kind words! We're aware of the issue regarding the Branch Permissions, and we will include support for that in our next release.

Nice plugin. It lists nicely all the tags. I can delete and edit them. But I haven't found the button to create a new tag. I'm a admin and it's not under commits, source code or view tags.

    Hello Julian,

If you select a single commit, there should be a menu item to 'Tag this commit'. If it isn't, please open up a support ticket, so we can assist you further.

    Regards,

    Joachim

Very nice plugin, however I haven't found a way to prevent the deletion of tags from the web interface. I have managed to do it from the git clients, by using "branches permissions" with a pattern for the tags (see "Using branch permissions" and "Branch permission patterns" under the section "Using Bitbucket Server" of the official documentation). This activates a hook that is only called from the git clients, and not from the menu provided by this plugin in the web interface of the server. I have contacted the support and they have been very reactive, telling me they will consider this as a new feature. Also, for Michal Humpula (comment below), the source code is available on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/contribute-bitbucket/the-tag-maker
