A really good customisable search function. But I'm encountering a problem where clicking the Search button takes you to a search of *all* the spaces--even though I've restricted the search to a single space. The type-ahead search on the page works as expected, and is restricted to the space.

Could you please answer the questions below: - Is it possible to replace the default live search with instant search (is it is possible to search the whole site just by pressing some shortcut (default gg) no matter on which page you are currently located) - does instant search, searches also parts of the word written somewhere in the body of the document (if I have document with the title: Title 1 and with body: Document body 1, I would like that instant search returns the document if just string "cument" is searched)

Great questions. I'll try to summarize: - Is it possible to replace the default live search with instant search? In Confluence 4 yes. In Confluence 5, I could not figure out a way to do it cleanly and get the same functionality. Instructions here: https://bitbucket.org/ndunn/instant-search/wiki/Home - Is it is possible to search the whole site just by pressing some shortcut (default gg) no matter on which page you are currently? You can definitely setup the macro to search the entire site. I've not wired in a short-cut, but there is a setting (I believe its called "focus") to force the focus to go to the macro, first, after its already been loaded. - Does Instant Search also search part of the word written somewhere in the body of the document (if I have document with the title: Title 1 and with body: Document body 1, I would like that instant search returns the document if just string "cument" is searched)? No. It relies on Confluence's Lucene engine, which only searches from the beginning of the word. It should, however, treat hyphenated words as two words. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

The german translation is quite poor - and some characters are not displayed correctly. So, I would like to create my own translation. Do you have any tips for me?

Thanks for feedback. Please file a bug: https://bitbucket.org/ndunn/instant-search/issues?status=new&status=open If you have a preferred translation or screenshots where this you are getting encoding errors that would be helpful. Thanks.

Art, I appreciate the feedback. I've updated some of the documentation (there are MANY places to update documentation). During installation / configuration of the Macro, there should still be sufficient documentation for each option. Please contact me via the vendor link if you have further issues.

May be great but usage instructions / documentation are lacking making this difficult to add.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Add-on purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
