The Enhanced Notifications plugin for Jira allows you to customize Jira emails on a per-project basis.
Can be configured by project administrator! You do not need to go through your Jira admin to take advantage of the highly configurable Jira emails. Set up new notification rules within your project administration panel.
Targeted email delivery. Combining event triggers with the power of JQL to target specific recipients allows you to streamline notifications to ensure stakeholders get the information they want and need and are not spammed on every update.

Bug fix
This release fixes a race condition where some emails did not get matched up on the JQL query properly due to Jira's internal indexing. It also fixes an issue with multiple emails being sent.
