HP/Palm Jira Spreadsheet Import Plugin

With this plugin users can easily  import comma-delimited (CSV) text  spreadsheets of issues into Jira.

Spreadsheet Import Features

• The importer reads the first row of data and makes educated guesses about which Jira field that they map to. There is no need to map spreadsheet columns to Jira fields. 

• The importer will also automatically make partial matches with field values for custom field options. For example, if you have a field Impact with choices 1-High, 2-Medium, 3-Low and the spreadsheet contains values "2, 2, 3, 1, 1, 2", then the Importer will guess 1=1-High, 2=2-Low, and 3=3-Low. Likewise if the spreadsheet lists, "medium, medium, low, high" then the importer will also correctly guess the custom field options.

• Can import sub-tasks

• Has a preview step that will reveal partial successess and ignored columns

• Loads imported issues as search results in the Issue Navigator

• Adds an  Import Spreadsheet link to the User menu and to the  Import & Export section in Administration.
• Hooks to the Bulk Change global permission
