Description

The Confdoc plug-in is essentially a clone of the Subconf plugin. But instead of commiting page content to SVN in the form of Wiki markup (as is the case in Subconf), the page is first passed through a Wiki-to-DocBook conversion filter. This enables you to save the content of part or all of a space in DocBook format. The Wiki-to-DocBook filter is derived from the Textile-J Wiki parser, which has now migrated to be a part of the Eclipse Mylyn project.

Here is a summary of the features provided by Confdoc:

  • Integration with SVN backend. Any time a page is edited, the changes are commited to SVN in DocBook format.
  • Wiki-to-DocBook filter is based on an enhanced version of the Textile-J parser.
  • Supports multiple books per space.
  • Full support for cross-referencing within a single space. Includes support for inter-book cross-references, if the books are in the same space.
  • Supports DocBook versions 4.4, 4.5, and 5.0.
  • Custom DTD internal subset can be included at the start of every generated DocBook file.
  • Existing attachment files in a space can be copied across to the SVN repository.
