Source Code Importer for Stash - Features
- Importing of SVN repositories in standard layout (trunk/tags/branches)
- Supports SVN via http with authentication
- Importing into existing or new Stash repository
- Status mail on completion (success or failure) with details
- Mapping of svn authors to Stash users
- Separate import logs for each import (auto created in stash-home/logs)
- Works on Stash hosted on Windows, Linux or OSX
Gotcha when running with Stash 1.3.1- There is one aesthetic (not functional affecting) gotcha in the Repositories > Source Code Import menu item, where redundant text is displayed. This a bug and fixed in Stash 1.3.2+. It does not affect the import. Just select the option to get started.
Future Roadmap
- Fetch SVN authors on background thread showing a loading or progress bar in UI
- Ability to see import in progress and return to import page for future updates
- Auto-guess user mappings based on email/username
- Support for configurable SVN layouts
- Better i18n support
- Guess repository name from URL - e.g. http://example.com/svn/project-repository → Repo: "projectrepository"
- Additional SCM flavors supported
