    Description

    Custom fields to allow "child" issues to be linked to "parent" issues in a hierarchical manner. The link may also be made mandatory, unlike standard Jira issue links.

     

    Install the plugin via the Universal Plugin Manager or by placing it in $Jira_HOME/plugins/installed-plugins and restarting.

     

    Parent Issue Picker shows a dropdown containing all unresolved issues for belonging to projects whose category matches the custom field's name. This custom field should be added to child projects. Parent issues will be available for selection when they meet the following conditions:

    • Custom field name is the same as the project category (see last screenshot for example)
    • Fix Version has been set (this may be removed, with more user requests)
    • Resolution is "unresolved"

    Child Issue List (read only) shows a list of all issues which have a Parent Issue Picker custom field set to that issue.

    Any Parent Issue Picker custom fields will be available for search in the issue searcher, via a combo.
