Note: The web service component is designed for use within your organization's firewalled network. The normal use case is pulling data from Jira into a business intelligence system, a data warehouse, or directly into a report or dashboard. Attempts to call the web service from an external site will result in an HTTP 401 error because it will not pass credentials through from the client to the rest service.
