Configure how data should be anonymized

Use the Global Configuration page to choose which data should be anonymized.

It's possible to anonymize non-field data (such as comments and issue history), internal fields (such as Assignee), and custom fields.

Bulk encrypt and decrypt data using a secret key

Bulk encrypt and decrypt issue data in one or more projects.

Simply select an encryption method, enter a secret, known only to you, and choose encrypt or decrypt. Then click Anonymize!

Remove and mask data in exports

Export anonymized issue data for one or more issues using the native Export menu.

Choose how data should appear in exports - either remove, or mask using your chosen masking pattern (e.g. [Redacted]).

More details

Zorro Anonymizer provides administrators with a quick and easy way to anonymize data in Jira.

Zorro Anonymizer is designed to help you:

  • protect non-production data
  • protect against insider threats
  • comply with data regulations

Many teams need to work on Jira instances in isolation without affecting production.

For instance, an ops team might want to stage a Jira upgrade, or a training team might want a copy of production data to train new users. A reporting team might even want production data for analytics.

With Zorro Anonymizer, you can do all of these things safely by removing or encrypting sensitive production data first!

You can also use our app to anonymize IP or trade secrets, and mitigate the risk of fraud, theft, and malicious use.

And if you have private data in Jira, Zorro Anonymizer can help you comply with data regulations!

This version supports Jira Server only, but additional versions will follow in the coming weeks for Data Center, and then Jira Service Desk.
