With security becoming more and more important, Go2Group's Two-Factor Authenticator app offers an additional layer that a user must provide in order to access your Atlassian applications.
The app implements the RFC 6238 open standard as an additional step that the user must provide in order to log into the application. This two-factor authentication (2FA) is implemented via Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) which is described under the above open standard (and soon HOTP). The app requires it to be installed in the supported Atlassian application and also installing a client that can generate the TOTP for the users.
