The Jira Ldap Synchronizer is a console java application which can be used to quickly synchronize users in an Ldap Repository (such as Active Directory) with users in Jira.
Features Include:
- Ability to customise which Ldap attributes are pushed into Jira as user properties.
- Ability to use multiple Ldap Queries / sources for users.
- Caching previous queries to determine only the set of users which have changed since the last synchronization (along for very quicky periodic updates i.e. up to the minute scheduling).
- Logging to file of progress etc.
- Support for generating email addresses when missing / absent (Jira requires email addresses for all users).
- Support for multiple paging strategies, to allow querying for large numbers of Ldap objects i.e. greater then a 1000 users from AD. Supported strategies are Paged (using native Ldap paging), Partitioned queries (i.e. by user name, where Ldap paging is not supported). Simple queries are also supported where only a small number of uers a returned by the Ldap query.
- Mapping multiple attributes to a single Jira user property (i.e. for phone numbers).
