Replace the notification flood

Six emails about one issue become one summary. Pick a JQL, a cadence and a timezone; Digest folds everything that changed into a single digest you read when you choose.

See only what you may see

Digests are generated with app permissions and re-filtered against your own access when opened. Anything you cannot see is stripped and counted; the check fails closed, never leaks.

Nothing leaves Atlassian

Built on Forge with no external calls and read-only Jira scopes. The app never sends mail and never talks to an outside service. Runs on Atlassian eligible, a badge Atlassian applies automatically.

The problem

Jira notifies per event: one issue, six emails, and the one that matters is buried.

What Digest does

  • Subscribe in one line of JQL — with a daily or weekly cadence, your own timezone, and grouping by project, assignee or status.
  • One summary per period. Each run collects what changed: issues created, status transitions, assignments to you, priority changes, comments that mention you — folded into one digest in an in-app inbox.
  • Honest about silence. No changes, no delivery — unless you ask for empty digests. Broken JQL pauses the subscription with Jira’s own error message.
  • Private by construction. Digests are re-filtered against your own permissions when opened; anything you may not see is stripped and counted. Read-only scopes, no external calls — nothing leaves Atlassian.

Good to know

Digest is not a notification rules engine — it does not filter or intercept Jira’s notifications, it folds them into a summary you read when you choose.

Summary
First public release: daily and weekly roll-up digests, delivered in-app.
Details

Digest for Jira folds a period’s worth of Jira changes into one structured summary you read when you choose.

This first release includes:

  • Subscriptions defined by a JQL query, with a daily or weekly cadence, your own timezone, and grouping by project, assignee or status.
  • An in-app inbox under Apps, Digests: newest first, unread counts, mark all read.
  • Roll-ups that classify what changed in the window: issues created, status transitions, assignments to you, priority changes, and comments that mention you.
  • Permission-aware reading: digests are re-filtered against your own access when opened, and anything you may not see is stripped and counted.
  • Honest silence: a period with no changes delivers nothing unless you ask for empty digests; broken JQL pauses the subscription with Jira’s own error.
  • A site admin page with counters only — no queries, no names, no issue data.
  • Read-only Jira scopes, no external network access. Nothing leaves Atlassian.
