Jira does not tell you when the work item in front of you has changed. You open a request, start working, and meanwhile a colleague assigns it, comments or changes a field. You find out only when you refresh, often after you have both done the same work.
What it does
- Warns you with a pop-up when someone else changes the open work item: assignee, status, fields or a new comment.
- Tells you who made the change and what changed.
- Shows who else has the same work item open.
- Works in Jira and Jira Service Management.
Good to know
- The app alerts you; it does not lock work items, block edits or refresh the page.
- Alerts appear while the work item is open in your browser. It does not send email or mobile notifications.
Privacy and security
- Runs entirely on Atlassian Forge, with no external servers and no data sent outside Atlassian.
- Reads work item data only to detect and describe changes.
