More details
GroupFollow runs entirely on Atlassian infrastructure under the Runs on Atlassian programme. It makes no external network calls and uses no third-party services. Nothing is stored outside Atlassian: only group assignments, timestamps and Atlassian account IDs, held in Forge storage.
It writes native Confluence watch records, so notifications arrive through Confluence's own pipeline and appear under the Watching tab. There is no separate inbox or digest to learn.
Group membership is re-checked every hour, so people who join an assigned group are subscribed automatically. That interval is also the worst-case delay before a new member starts receiving notifications.
The app never removes a watch someone set themselves, and anyone who unsubscribes stays unsubscribed: the opt-out is permanent and survives re-assignment. Every assignment records who made it.
Language support: English.
