    I like the easy to use interface but there is one major feature that is lacking for us which is an EPIC sum up. We have approx 300 customers which are set up as EPICs in Jira (individual projects would be overally cumbersome). There is no way in Tempo of getting a list of each of those EPICs on the one page with rolled up time against them. I have chatted with their support and product teams and this isn't a feature that will be supported in the future which is disappointing

    Simply awesomesauce! How can you run JIRA as a central project management hub, without this tool. Installs quickly (did it in the PMO meeting), and everyone now has a timesheet which management desperately needed, for forecasting, utilization, etc... Great product.

    I would like to share our experience with Tempo Timesheets. First of all, this is a great plugin, making things right to view worklog timesheets. UI/UX is great and PDF generation clean. We liked it! But we found some limitations in it: no custom field grouping (we raised the support and this feature has been followed to their dev team, so maybe in future version it will be available), and only issues with worklogs are managed in Tempo. So if you want just report of time estimated for instance, it is not usable, as all issue having no worklog won't be in the calculation. The bigguest concern was what about the datas if we decide one day to change the plugin or no more using it. And here, there was a problem: if you uninstall it, the worklogs Author and Comments are no more here (they are not synchronized back). They are kept only on the Tempo server. So be carefull the day you remove the addons, you will need to handle those yourself (custom script, manually report them, etc.). Having worklog authors on the Tempo server make other worklog plugin not working, as they display user "Tempo Timesheet" as user for all the worklogs. Same if you use native Jira rest service. Support was really great, fast and helpful. But as we need to be able to use other plugins and don't want a such dependency to Tempo, we don't use it no more (we would have like to be able to use it as we like the ui/ux and the reports generation). Appart of those behaviour i wanted to expose on this review so you know it before use it, Tempo is really a great addons and you can give a try for sure! PS: all behaviour indicated in this review is at the time of the review. You can check at their support or documentation to see if behaviours changed.

    Thank you for your feedback and for pointing the positives you experienced with Tempo Timesheets and our Support Team.

    First, I’d like to address your comment about the worklogs displaying users as "Tempo Timesheets’" and say that in 2017, Atlassian moved all JIRA cloud add-ons to their next generational cloud technology which means that add-ons are now more restricted when implementing things requiring JIRA DB queries so when a user logs work with Tempo, the Tempo Timesheets plugin updates JIRA’s time spent field on the issue, as many Reports, functionalities and more are relying on this field. Tempo is now residing in its own system, and using its own database and by informing JIRA which user created a Worklog, we may be breaking the View All Worklog permission - as once this information is within JIRA, we can't protect it anymore, and JIRA will display the information in various places and for this reason, the Tempo Timesheets plugin updates JIRA's time spent field, without disclosing any specific information.

    If you decide to stop using the add-on, before uninstalling it, you can fetch all the data for the worklogs using the Tempo REST API which will return the worklog's author and description.

    We are abandoning our old time tracking system and are about to start using Tempo Timesheet. All feedback from the end users have been great so far, and the support from the Tempo staff couldn't have been better. With a product that is a leader in the market place, and the willingness to listen to the customer needs we feel like we made the perfect decision to move time reporting to JIRA and Tempo Timesheet.

    Quite disappointed about the support. Their first answers look like answers given by a bad robot/search engine. It always takes further two responses until the support starts reading the request.

    Tempo Timesheets and the data created from using it has become a mission critical piece to our allocation model as well as the system of record for timekeeping. The Tempo support team is very responsive and dedicated to making sure any issues we encounter are resolved quickly, as well as adding our feature requests to the backlog. The Tempo team is a leader in the marketplace, and for a good reason.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
