Overall a decent product but the ratio between uptime and downtime has been shameful as of late. Quite annoying as we put our trust in Temo when it comes to logging hours and sending out bills. We are literally losing money because of these reliability issues.

We were using tempo for planing users and worklogs. but new strategy of Tempo quite bad. Plan to others was a feature and was free. it is now separeted plugin which is sold for a higher price then Timesheets. So we stopped our renewal process. Normal price goes 3x higher from previous year. this is meaningless. whish that they reconsider their strategy for this app.

    Hello onuralp.oznalbant@vakifemeklilik.com.tr,

Thank you very much for you feedback.

I do believe that your review is meant for the Server section, as we did indeed remove the possibility to Plan for other from Tempo Timesheet on Server with the release of version 9. This was done to facilitate better time tracking – plan your work in advance and convert the plans to worklogs. More changes and enhancements were a part of this release, please take a look here for more information.

If not this feature was removed from Tempo timesheet for Cloud several years ago.

I would also like to mention that Tempo Planner is not sold for a higher price than Tempo Timesheet but of course buying both products will result in a higher price.

As for your complaint of a general price increase, Tempo follows price changes for Jira made by Atlassian and Atlassian announced their price increase last September and Tempo followed suit.

We do welcome all feedback and strive to listen to our customer to further our product development so we may provide customer centric products. I am sorry that your company has elected to cancel its subscription and hope that you revisit our products at a later date.

    Best regards,

    Hildur Nanna,

Tempo Timesheets is very useful, especially since JIRA doesn't support custom worklog types (as it has been requested by dozens of users). Tempo works for us, though it's a pain and time-consuming when it comes to scale (we have approx. 1500 worklogs to review per month). The UI slows down when there are many worklogs. It's not able to do bulk updates, and there is little progress on the Tempo product evolution. Tempo Budget is not yet available for the Cloud and integrations with other (HR) tools (for absence management) don't seem to be on the roadmap. I miss a feature to hide custom worklog types when they get deprecated and are no longer in use - the only chance is to delete them which also deletes historic data.

    Hello Marc,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad that you find our product useful and we hope that it will continue to be so for you.

We are aware that reviewing worklogs in such quantity can be bothersome and are looking into ways to remedy that but do not have a set time for such work as of yet. Please take a look at our release notes and announcement page once in while for updates.

We are also aware that a Tempo financial app on cloud would be greatly appreciated by our customers and such a product has been on our roadmap for some time.

Lastly a feature request does exist for the possibility to hide work attributes, we do not offer the possibility for our customers to monitor the status of such improvements but I refer you again to our announcement page and would like to mention that our dedicated support team is always ready to offer insight if they can.

    Best regards,

Tempo Timesheets is a seamlessly integrated solution for Jira that helped us in development management as well as each individual to analyze their time logging data, get work-logs at a glance and understand how yesterdays weather influences the forecast for future challenges. With its comprehensive reports, the great ways to group, visualize and analyze data, it is the out-of-the box solution for Jira time tracking.

Hi guys, Sorry, but the new version 9.0 just forced me to write a negative review, removing features like JQL support in reports, showing plans in grid mode, account approval, etc. together with changing the UI to be more fancy but less usable is a huge MINUS... version 8.0 was way better in many ways! Regards, Janos

After upgrading the plugin version, I found some problems. The Time Tracking page is not displayed properly. I want to downgrade to the old version, but I can't downgrade it. People can't accept it.

I like the new changes and enjoy that we can customize the reports and save them for further viewing. We also like the sidebar (we use it a lot), very practical. We also like the fact you can customize the issue picker and include your favourite one that we keep using. Overall we like where the changes are heading and will continue to use Tempo, great app for the price point.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
