Search anyone on your site and set a reminder for them, with a note saying why. A separate tab lists everything you have handed off, so nothing quietly disappears. Chime confirms they can see the work item first.
Reminders where the work already is
Open any work item, pick a time, add a note. Quick picks cover in an hour, tomorrow at 9am, and next Monday, or choose an exact date and time. No separate tool, no calendar invite, no browser extension.
Delivered by Jira, not by us
Reminders go out through Jira's own notification system, to the address Jira already holds. The app declares zero external egress, stores no email addresses, and never routes mail through a third party.

Every team has work that is not due yet but must not be forgotten: chase the vendor on Thursday, re-check this ticket after the release, follow up if the customer has not replied by Monday. Jira has due dates, but a due date is a commitment to the whole team, and it says nothing about who is watching the clock.
The harder version is handing that watch to someone else. You ask a colleague in standup to check back on Thursday, and there is no record that you asked, no reason attached, and nothing that surfaces on Thursday. Jira has no place to put a nudge aimed at one person, and no place at all to put one you gave away.
Chime adds that place. Set a reminder for yourself or anyone on the site, with a note saying why, and a second tab lists every reminder you have handed off. Chime checks the recipient can view the work item before delivering. Delivery goes through Jira's own notifications, with zero external egress.
