Key highlights of the appContinual service improvement for Jira: nine enforced statuses, benefit figures you can defend, an audit trail nobody can edit
Every open improvement on one board
The board inside a Jira project, columned by open status: proposed, triaged, approved, in progress, implemented and on hold. The banner above it counts each improvement once, whatever flags it raised.
Benefits and measures you can defend
Forecast, realised and cost per improvement, with realised benefit counted only from verified and closed records. A composite score you weight yourself ranks the backlog; RICE stays blank until every input is filled in.
See why a Jira issue matters
The issue panel shows the improvements a Jira issue contributes to, with status and target date. Delete the issue and the link is tidied away; resolve it and that is recorded, rather than quietly closing the work.
More details
- A register of service improvements, each with an owner, sponsor, target and review dates, a benefit case and measures
- Nine statuses on a strict transition graph: nothing reaches verified without having been implemented
- A field-level audit trail with no edit path, showing each change from its old value to its new one
- Rank the backlog by a composite score you weight yourself, with RICE alongside
- Link existing Jira issues or create a delivery issue from the improvement; the issue panel shows what each issue contributes to
- Board, register and dashboard, with forecast and realised benefit, and a Jira dashboard gadget
- A daily sweep counts improvements that are overdue, stale, due for review or with no owner
- An optional weekly or daily email digest sent by Jira, off until a Jira admin allows it
- Optionally publish improvement status onto linked issues, searchable in JQL
- Export the view you are working in to CSV
- On Atlassian Forge: no external service, no egress declared
