There's no way to limit the app to a single product or project, so billing is for the max number of users on the account. That was our major dealbreaker, but what was more concerning was that there were multiple pricing schemes involved once you'd already installed the app: a plan based on expected usage, then top-up data packages.

      > billing is for the max number of users on the account

This is currently the normal way marketplace apps are priced. We also allocate monthly Capacity Plan based on that level that most customers volumes are within at no extra cost.

      > there were multiple pricing schemes involved once you'd already installed the app

If your usage exceeds the monthly Capacity Plan, then your usage is likely higher than the majority of other instances of the same user level. For users that need more MSG or DATA (or both) we provide ways to get that capacity. We try to be flexible, your usage volumes may only burst occasionally, Data Packs are good for that, your volumes may be more constant, Plan Upgrades are good for that.

I simply do not know how you can run a Jira instance without JEMH. It is the most powerful tool in the box. I used it years ago, and cominghttps://ccoz.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/upm?source=side_nav_manage_addons# back after that long break I am mightily impressed with how it has expanded, developed and tightened-up. A very very classy piece of work.

I have been using JEMH for around 8 or 9 years (3 on-prem, 6 on cloud). This is far-and-away the best and most useful Jira plugin. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. Like others have said, it has a steep learning curve, but once you figure it out, it's not too difficult. Without it, we wouldn't be able to support hundreds of inbox addresses. Support has been top-notch. They are quick to respond, give excellent guidance, and are receptive to feedback and suggestions. I wouldn't want to manage a decently-sized Jira instance without it.

This is a killer app for enterprise Jira Service Management Cloud deployments ("enterprise" the business characteristic, not "enterprise" the licensing tier), doubly so if you have migrated or are migrating from an on-premise Jira environment. We use it to extend our JSM environment with more advanced email filtering, deploying multiple email inboxes per service desk, context-sensitive ticket creation/commenting/rejection, custom context-sensitive notification templates (as opposed to the one-template-per-desk you get with vanilla JSM) and for actual logging of email processing (a function that is still bafflingly absent from JSM Cloud). As others have rightly pointed out, the learning curve is steep, and navigating the documentation for "that one setting" you need to find can be a challenge. Grab your free trial and follow their onboarding flow in its entirety to really understand how powerful this thing is. Their support team is one of the best in the Atlassian ecosystem. We have been working with them for several years now and can confidently state that they *will* answer your question thoroughly and timely, no matter how "basic" you think it is. You will be rewarded with a dizzying array of features. We have yet to encounter an email-based requirement in Jira that cannot be met with this tool and the support of the JEMHC team.
