Why Due Date Alerts?
Jira has no built-in notification for approaching due dates. You only find out a task is overdue after the deadline has passed. Due Date Alerts fixes this by sending proactive reminders before deadlines hit.
How it works
Each user opts in and configures their own alerts — no admin setup required. Choose from four timing windows (7 days, 3 days, 1 day before, and overdue) and two notification channels (email and Jira comments with @mentions). A dashboard gadget gives you a visual overview of all upcoming deadlines.
