Cost Trail for Jira

A cost report gets read once and acted on. It goes into an invoice or a budget decision, and nobody adds the column up again to check it.

This prices work that is already logged in Jira. It reads Jira’s own worklogs, so there is no second timesheet product to buy, and rates are set per Jira group, so somebody who joins the team is priced from the day they join instead of quietly costing nothing.

Under every figure it states what that figure covers: the hours counted, work logged outside the period, anyone with no rate set, and anything your Jira account was not allowed to read. The line is there when nothing was excluded as well, because a warning that only appears on failure is one people stop reading.

Exports carry the same line into the file. Built on Forge, it runs inside Atlassian’s infrastructure, stores no personal data and sends nothing anywhere.
