It cannot break your data
Two read-only permissions and nothing else. The app has no write access of any kind, so it cannot create, edit, move or delete an issue. Atlassian enforces this, and you can see the list before you install.
Honest about what it knows
A parent with no dates of its own is drawn dashed, from the range of its children, never as though the dates were real. Issues with no dates appear in the list without a bar, and the status line counts them.
Every detail, one hover away
Hovering a row shows issue type, full summary, status, assignee, start and due dates and duration. Useful in the list, where long summaries are almost always cut off.
More details
Read-only Gantt for Jira works with both company-managed and team-managed projects. The interface is in English; dates, month names and the first day of the week follow each user's own Jira language and region settings. Start and end date fields are detected automatically, and a Jira administrator can set them explicitly, along with which issue link types count as dependencies.
