Uploads are checked server-side, not just trusted
Every upload is validated against your rules on the server: file type, size, and count, not only in the browser. Set the rules once per field; every upload is held to them, every time.

Set per field: allowed file types, a max size, and file count limits.
Choose storage per field:
- Portable - real Jira attachments. Survive an uninstall, work with Jira’s own export, search and permissions.
- Private - this app’s own storage, with view/edit access restricted by group or project role. Hidden from Jira’s attachment panel.
Bulk-export every file as a ZIP, in either mode. Uploads are validated server-side, not just in your browser - including a check that a file’s content matches its extension.
What to know: uploading happens on the Jira issue (by agents) - JSM customers can view a request’s files but not attach their own. Private-mode files do not survive an uninstall (export first). Portable-mode files are visible to anyone who can view the issue - per-field view permissions only apply in Private mode.
