Migration Field Cleanup for Jira is purpose-built for organisations that have migrated from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA).
During migration, JCMA creates copies of every custom field with a "(migrated)" suffix. If you migrated multiple times, you may have "(migrated 2)", "(migrated 3)", and more. These duplicate fields clutter your field configuration, confuse users, and complicate reporting.
This app:
- Scans all custom fields and automatically detects duplicate pairs
- Classifies each pair as safe, review-required, or conflicting based on schema comparison
- Counts affected issues so you know the impact before merging
- Copies migrated values into the original field only when the original is empty — never overwrites existing Cloud data
- Processes in batches with a live progress bar so you can track every step
Runs entirely on Atlassian infrastructure. No external servers, no data leaves your Jira instance.
