There are missing functionalities on the cloud version when related to the on premise version. It does not help us, seeing the price, to insall it without those functions at this stage... That's why we stop the trial ; waiting ...

Hi, Quentin. Thanks for that feedback. You're right. As with Jira Jira itself, there are important differences between Structure Cloud and the server/data center versions. We try to be transparent about those differences.

We are also working aggressively to enhance our cloud solutions. The Structure Cloud roadmap is the best place to watch for what's coming next.

It would be great if you contact our support team to let us know which features you miss the most. It's feedback from folks like you that help us set priorities.

The main manual scheduling options are not available in the cloud versions, which make the extension almos useless for Jira Software users.

    ALM Works

Hi, NK. It looks like your comments may be related to the preliminary release of the cloud edition of Structure.Gantt.

UPDATE: That said, something is amiss. We *do* support manual scheduling! Please contact our support team so we can show you how, or give us other feedback about what's missing.

We did our best to manage user expectations and let folks know that, for now, at least, the cloud version of Structure.Gantt is significantly different from the server edition. Clearly, we didn't do a good enough job with our communications if you were unaware of the differences, and for that, I apologize.

If you wish to stay abreast of our progress and learn about new releases of the cloud editions of Structure and Structure.Gantt, please follow our updates via releasenotes.io. Hopefully, you'll give us another chance when the cloud edition of Structure.Gantt is further along.

We are using the Cloud version. The tool is good and has lots of potential to be great. I even had quite a few R&D teams adapt it into their day to day. Nevertheless, it does have it's limitations. The only 2 things i am quite disappointed with, is the fact that there are not many version updates for Cloud and it is missing some crucial things. I would be more than happy to elaborate, but if new versions wont come out this year, I will have to asses whether to remove this add-on.
    ALM Works

Hi, Meytal. We agree. In fact, we'd say it's a great tool — with no shortage of good ideas for enhancement thanks to its older Server and Data Center siblings. You, and everyone else, can see what's coming next on the Structure Cloud roadmap. I hope the current plan will meet your needs. If not, I'd encourage you to reach out to us via "cloud at almworks dot com" (or alm.works/support). Our team will be very happy to hear your elaboration!

Thanks again for the feedback. -dave

It's a good start, but missing many critical functionality, e.g.: - formula columns - copy structures - Inline edit of custom fields of type single/multiple selection

Hello, Ran. Thanks for the "good start" kudos. We appreciate it :) You're right. As with Jira Jira itself, there are important differences between Structure Cloud and its older on-prem siblings. We do our best to be transparent about those differences and we continue to enhance our Cloud services as quickly as we can. See what's coming next on the Structure Cloud roadmap.

Thanks again for the feedback. I'll make sure our product team sees it. -dave

Structure I would say has been one of the best JIRA Add-on our company has purchased thus far. It has proven to be extremely valuable to our users and gives them various ways to display their issues especially with it's automation functions. I think I have only scratched the surfaced on what Structure offers but I am excited to learn more.

I always thought that it was just a nice plugin to structure your Jira issues, and I could not have been more wrong... it is much more than that! With its powerful formulas and generators it is more like an Excel in Jira. What was not possible with Portfolio and inconvenient in Excel (planning our Sprints ahead based on team velocity), I finally managed to do with Structure. I used to create Script Fields in ScriptRunner and used those in my custom reports, now I have Structure and with Formulas I can do the same in no time just like in Excel without playing with Groovy scripts. Do not underestimate this little tool, because it is BIG!

    Janos,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Structure with others who may be considering it themselves. We often describe Structure as a powerful spreadsheet on top of Jira — and much, much more. We're very glad that you came to the same conclusion on your own -- only from the other way around ;) -dave

We use structure now for couble of years and there has been no phase of fail or disorder. The support team was always abel to help within fiew hours. They are amazing. We have now enabled Structure.Gantt. which gives us new perspectives in planning and tracking of projects.

Absolutely indispensable tool for us. Our product owners tend to build complex hierarchies of nested stories and we could not handle it for them without Structure. I've had to reach out to customer support more than once and they have always responded quickly and worked with me until our issue was resolved. Top-notch product and team.

IT deparment of El Corte Inglés has chousen to use the Structure plug-ins to view, track and manage progress in Jira's projects and teams. has positively appreciated that, using user-defined and adaptive question hierarchies, it is presented in a familiar view similar to a Jira problem spreadsheet. Also, structures can contain folders and other useful organizational elements not found in Jira. Miguel Escavias ALM Team Lead of El Corte Inglés

Great tool. We are testing this for a month and would like to use it as our PPM tool. One concern about the progress, based on our testing ,all the columns are still configurable even we only assign view permission to people. Then in that way everyone will see different columns and different progress. Is there any way to lock down the columns and configurations?
1 out of 1 found this review helpful
    ALM Works

Hi Ming Cheng, thanks for your review!

Regarding the columns configuration, users can *adjust* what they are seeing, but they will not be able to overwrite the view shared with other people. You can tell that a view is adjusted by spotting a "*" symbol near the view name. You can also revert to the saved view. By design, there's no way to restrict users from adding more columns or changing column configuration.

Also, you can use Perspectives to get a URL that always opens in a predefined configuration.

Feel free to reach us at support@almworks.com and discuss the available options to solve this challenge.

    Kind regards,Igor

Hi thanks a lot because of this amazing add-on , it really helped me a lot , specially the formula column . but here is a little problem , I create my structure and add "Start Date" and "End Date" column, start and end dates shown for Epics , Story and Tasks , but I cant see start and End date for Version and Project, But I really need it , please help me best regards

    Hi Javad,

Thanks for the kind words! Glad to know Formula column worked for you.

We'll be happy to assist you with any challenges you experience. The Start Date / Finish Date seems to be custom fields, which JIRA does not provide for Projects and Versions. Please write us to support@almworks.com and we'll be happy to discuss ways to approach this.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
