Is the structure feature also available in the jira project view? Or only in the overall menu?

    Hi Christoph,

Thanks for your Structure Cloud review and the question. As of the current version (1.1), you can only open Structure via the overall menu. We're planning to add another Structure link in the per-project menu in one of the upcoming versions.

You can stay up-to-date with the current updates via Structure Cloud Release Notes Subscription.

    Kind regards, Igor

The Structure board by itself works well but the cloud version doesn't work with the agile boards or projects. I need the hierarchy view for my kanban board but I am not able to achieve this with the current version

    Hi Shweta,

Thank you for reviewing one of the first versions of Structure Cloud app. We'll be adding more functionality throughout this year, including generators for building structures driven by Agile boards. You can stay up-to-date with the current updates via Structure Cloud Release Notes Subscription.

Also, we published the Structure Cloud Roadmap and intend to update it quarterly.

    Kind regards,Igor

Great tool. We are testing this for a month and would like to use it as our PPM tool. One concern about the progress, based on our testing ,all the columns are still configurable even we only assign view permission to people. Then in that way everyone will see different columns and different progress. Is there any way to lock down the columns and configurations?
    ALM Works

Hi Ming Cheng, thanks for your review!

Regarding the columns configuration, users can *adjust* what they are seeing, but they will not be able to overwrite the view shared with other people. You can tell that a view is adjusted by spotting a "*" symbol near the view name. You can also revert to the saved view. By design, there's no way to restrict users from adding more columns or changing column configuration.

Also, you can use Perspectives to get a URL that always opens in a predefined configuration.

Feel free to reach us at support@almworks.com and discuss the available options to solve this challenge.

    Kind regards,Igor

    Hi Javad,

Thanks for the kind words! Glad to know Formula column worked for you.

We'll be happy to assist you with any challenges you experience. The Start Date / Finish Date seems to be custom fields, which JIRA does not provide for Projects and Versions. Please write us to support@almworks.com and we'll be happy to discuss ways to approach this.

    Kind regards,Igor

Add-on stopped working and support has been ineffective at obtaining a resolution.

    Hello Ryan,

I am sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience with our add-on and support. I can see from the support ticket that many people from our team were involved in solving this case. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. But it also seemed that the problem was not necessarily located in Structure, and we were trying to get Atlassian involved in solving it.

JIRA server with multiple add-ons is a system with many moving parts. While we do our best to solve a problem regardless of the configuration, it sometimes involves other parties.

If you're willing to work with us a little more to try to restore Structure's functionality, we'll make another go at it, potentially with Atlassian support.

    Kind regards,

    Igor

I have no idea why Structure is not a part of vanilla JIRA. It gives unparalleled viewing into your projects and is so easy to customize depending on who in your business needs to see what. The service team behind it are easily accessible and eager to help answer questions or solve a problem. I can't recommend this add-on enough to anyone that needs a new perspective on their projects

I was so amazed that Structure was able to easily accommodate a seemingly complex set of requirements for visualizing and editing budgeting data (where something like Tempo Budget was too complex and rigid). When I thought I had run into a limitation of Structure, I sent in a support request. The support I received not only resolved my issues - it was done in a way that was refreshingly conscientious. (Thanks, Mario O.G!)

To work with Structure is a great and valuable experience. Its configuration is pretty easy and it opens a really wide option of different views of your JIRA issues. Its incredible (and infinite) drill down feature allows you to gather the issues virtually in any expected way, bringing value to your analysis reports. It is a product that really worth every cent you invest in it. And as if this is not enough, their support team is really a powerfull hand when you are in trouble!

Thank you, Sangita! We're going to do more planning and reporting features this year, with new releases of Structure.Gantt and expanding the core features, formulas and automation. And it's good to know that our support team is on top of things, we'll keep it that way!

I use it for release and sprint planning, for planning the team capacities, work log reports,...., or just to get a quick overview over a new project. Structure gets the job done. Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
