More details

A dashboard gadget for anything you want to explain, announce or highlight on a Jira dashboard: a project overview, a status update, a styled announcement, or a set of quick links.

Writing is done in Jira’s own editor, the same one you use on a work item, so there is nothing new to learn. Headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, text colour and links all work, and typing opens the quick insert menu. The text is drawn by Atlassian’s own renderer, so it matches your site in light mode and dark mode without any styling of its own.

Images go in by address. Paste a URL, press Add image, and check it appears before you save.

There is no server behind this gadget and it asks for no Jira permissions at all. Your text is stored in the gadget’s own configuration on your own site, so nothing leaves it.
