Jira Capacity Planning, Person by Person

Sprint capacity planning that compares demand to each person’s real capacity, with leave and holidays already subtracted. Every sprint is marked Deliverable, Tight or Overcommitted, active ones on the days still ahead.

A Delivery Date, and the Odds of Hitting It

The delivery forecast gives a finish date, the chance of meeting your target, and a likely range - for every capacity and dependency choice, side by side. Baselines snapshot the plan so you can see the date drifting.

Team Velocity and Capacity Across Projects

Velocity with its trend and per-person split, plus the Projects portfolio: health, forecast and utilisation per project, so someone committed on two projects at once is visible in one place.

More details

An add-on for Jira, not a replacement for it. It reads sprints, issues, estimates, people, time off and dependencies to answer one question: can this be delivered in the time and capacity you have?

A delivery date, the odds of hitting your target and a likely range, for every capacity and dependency choice. Baselines show it drifting.

Capacity planning, person by person: demand against each person’s real capacity, less leave and holidays. Every sprint: Deliverable, Tight or Overcommitted.

What-if scenarios and Monte Carlo simulation give the odds of finishing on target. Auto-Level rebalances overloaded sprints; Alerts, Risks and Critical Chain flag what threatens it.

Ask a question in plain words and the app answers from its own figures, writing nothing to Jira unless you say so.

Scope, epics, risks and every project’s health in one table. A Timeline tab draws the forecast as a Gantt. Points, hours or days; edits write back with your Jira permissions; optional AI is off by default.

Summary
The Ask panel, and the Alerts tab rebuilt as forty checks in eight groups
Details

Ask a question about this project in plain words. A speech-bubble button in the tab bar opens the Ask panel on every tab. Every figure in the answer is worked out by the app, by the same code the cards on every tab are drawn from, so the same question always gives the same numbers, and nothing is written to Jira unless you say so.

It answers on the finish date and the odds of a target, what-ifs, what needs attention, scope, releases, risks, the team and the timeline. Seventeen kinds of change to Jira can be made from it, each taking two deliberate presses.

The Alerts tab is now forty checks in eight groups, every check always listed: one that found nothing shows a green zero instead of disappearing.

The forecast assumes no efficiency where none has been measured, puts a finish date inside the sprint that clears the work, and places work in no sprint by its own dates.

The Dashboard’s AI Insights section is gone, replaced by the Ask button.
