Ruthann BalerProject Commander fills a real gap in Jira: understanding whether a plan is actually likely to finish on time.
It brings together scope, capacity, dependencies, velocity, and risk, then uses that data to forecast delivery and highlight where the plan is under pressure. The What-If and Monte Carlo forecasting features are especially useful for testing different assumptions instead of relying on a single target date.
It won’t replace Jira, and it does take some time to understand the more advanced views, but for project managers who need better answers than standard Jira reports provide, it adds a useful planning and forecasting layer.
