MSP Planner - Gantt, Resources, MS Project export and import

We manage multiple concurrent projects across our engineering teams and native Jira just doesn't give you real Gantt/critical path visibility. Evaluated a few options and MSP Planner was the only one that handled our MS Project import without breaking the WBS structure - that alone saved us a painful migration. Baseline comparison is genuinely useful for our steering committee reports, and the critical path highlighting caught a dependency conflict we'd have otherwise missed until it was too late. Support responded within a day when we had a question about resource calendars, which we appreciated for a smaller vendor. Only gripe: the UI for assigning multiple resources at once feels a bit clunky, hoping that gets smoothed out. Still, solid tool for the price - would recommend for teams outgrowing spreadsheet-based scheduling.

Goes way past the usual Gantt plugin — real scheduling modes, proper critical path, and an MS Project round-trip that keeps the links to your actual Jira issues. Resource calendars plan against real availability and worklogs, not a fake 40h week. The push/pull sync is manual on purpose so nothing gets overwritten behind your back. Took a bit to learn, but it's the real thing.
