PII Shield scans issue summaries, descriptions, and comments, then gives admins a queue to review and mask what matters.
Made for Jira Cloud, the app uses HIPAA Safe Harbor identifier patterns and runs on issue create, update, and comment, plus a daily backfill scan for existing issues. The triage queue lets admins acknowledge, mask, dismiss, or mark false positives.
Masking removes only the PII in a field, so the rest stays readable. Jira history is unchanged, and originals stay in a 30 day vault. Evidence is recorded in a SHA-256 hash chain you can export as JSON or CSV.
It is admin only, and regular users never see the UI.
