    Fantastic functionality to have in Jira and Service Desk. Only thing that could make it better is to have multiple functions running off of a single conditional in the Post-Functions, but messy and efficient is better than less-messy and slow!

    Originally we got JMWE because a user wanted a custom field to "track" each time an issue transitioned between two status' and there's a post function that will increment a number field +1. I was pretty upset at the time. Cut to a year and a half later I consider JMWE to be the absolutely most necessary APP for running our company, We use it to make fields required, we use it two write temporary data to hidden fields in the background and do things with it later. The secret? the completely optional groovy editor, you start small, with little things, and then eventually you're doing crazy stuff with it right in the workflows. The documentation is also REALLY good, and JMWE's support is fantastic.

    Amazing rapid support. David Fischer contacted me right away and helped me through the problem. The tool is also extremely easy to use. Documentation is very understandable. The test data is handy to. I looked forward to some feature enhancements on triggered calculations!

    JMWE (and its sibling JMCF) are two apps that should be part of a well balanced diet of apps in the Jira world. These tools let me do things that would be either difficult or even impossible to do and they make it easy to do some really esoteric things. The combo of pleasant point/shoot for much but the ability to extend with Groovy is stellar. When one adds in that Innovalog is always very responsive to "help me help me" requests and this one is a winner.

    Great plugin, but It's rather slimy that Atlassian let you add and configure JMWE post-functions *before* informing you that, oh, none of this stuff will work unless you buy the plugin.

    JMWE has been crucial to extending JIRA cloud to create custom workflows. The features I use the most are creating linked tickets in a different project, creating sub-tasks with due dates, and setting values for custom fields with conditional execution. This has allowed me to create templates based on workflow triggers that create sub-tasks (or linked issues) at the right time. I have also had terrific response from David - he recently helped troubleshoot an issue and provided information so I could escalate to Atlassian (error was occurring before JIRA triggered the post-function call to JMWE).

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
