The Salesforce Forge App provides a modern and secure integration between Jira Cloud and Salesforce Change Management. Built on Atlassian Forge, it replaces the legacy Jira Connect and Visualforce-based integration, reducing configuration complexity and operational overhead.
The app supports Connected App and Login User authentication, removes the need to store Jira credentials, and continues to rely on existing status mappings. Both the legacy integration and the Forge App can coexist, allowing a smooth migration without impacting existing workflows. Netwrix recommends the Salesforce Forge App for its improved security, native Jira experience, and long-term platform alignment.
