This app is great for anyone who wants to make sure an important bit of news is read by their users or wants to evaluate whether content can safely be removed or archived as it isn't used any more. The fact that the app is installed and that is all that is needed to get stats on every page is especially good. In addition, we find the Recently Viewed Pages macro provided with this app is helpful to use on a space home page so that a user can quickly access the Saved For Later pages in the current space only.

Used this addon over 5 years, now found "paid update is available". Dissapointing. Developer should inform about plans to switch add-on to commersial in prior. Will uninstall & forget.

    Hi Ilya

We a sorry to loose you as our customer. Because we know that changing into a paid mode is a big change we sent a mail to all our customers by the mail given at the one klick registration of the Viewtracker. This mail contained a promocode for 50% discount and next to this we informed all about that change in our documentation.

I'm sorry that you haven't seen one of these notifications.

This plugin is NOT currently Data Center compliant. It appears to depend on RB Supplier and RB Support plugins from Service Rocket which are not Data Center compliant and will not function on a Data Center installation of Confluence. If your dependencies are not DC compatible, how can you run with the Data Center label? Love it on my un-clustered standalone instance, my new DC build I just can't use it (unfortunately).

    Hi Derek

Thank you for the feedback. The add-on itself is marked as data center because the Reporting functionality is an optional feature you could use if you bought the Service Rocket Reporting add-on. The 2 bundled add-ons are just libraries to make this work.

The normal features of the viewtracker are data center compatible and the add-on is full functional without this external reporting possibility.

Question: Can this plugin report which devices or browsers were used by the confluence users in my space? I would need that information to know, if my pages should be designed responsive.

    Hi Maren,

thank you for your feedback! You are able to filter your report by Source like Desktop, Mobile Web or even Jira Service Desk if you are using your Confluence as a knowledge base.

If you have further questions please feel free to contact us directly at support@bitvoodoo.ch!

This is great tool for reporting Confluence usage data like Views, Creates and Edits. Great presentation of the data in the Global Report. We had a minor configuration issue in setting up groups that could view the Global Report. Support was excellent and they gave us a jar to test a fix in our test instance. They were also very responsive in answering a few questions we had. Great App!

When is the Data Center compatible version for this Plugin being released ?

Viewtracker - Analytics for Confluence is Data Center ready, but Atlassian removed the previous "Datacenter ready" Badge on 3 September 2018 and introduced the new program for Data Center approved apps. Find more information here.

All vendors are required to reevaluate their apps and provide a vast amount of testing data to get the status back. At the moment we are working on that, but it seems Atlassian received to many submissions ;-)

We are in the midst of rolling out our Confluence-based intranet Linchpin and were looking for ways to gain insights of user activities. As our compliance team ruled out analytics tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics we were happy to find the Viewtracker. The option to disable user-specific data to comply with legal requirements is great which gave us the green light to install it. Outstanding app that even tracks activity in Linchpin Mobile. Highly recommended!

This is very useful, helps you know who is actually reading your content and who just says they are. We have it added to our global space layout to be included by default at the bottom of every page.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
