Selected attachments move to Confluence's trash, where your site admins can restore them if the scan was wrong. Nothing is purged. Dry run shows exactly what will move before you commit.

Confluence has no built-in way to find attachments that nothing references any more (CONFCLOUD-16577). Free and Standard sites hit the storage limit faster than admins expect. Attachment Sweep adds a global page under Apps that does the scan for you.
What it does: scans pages and blog posts for attachment references (body text, cover images, links from other pages); lists unreferenced attachments by space, size and date; dry run shows exactly what will move; selected attachments go to the Confluence trash (never purged) and can be restored by a site admin; jobs run in resumable background chunks.
How it is built: Forge app, Runs on Atlassian, zero external egress; acts with the permissions of the user who starts the job; stores only job state in Forge storage; unlicensed or after trial, scan and dry run keep working while trash jobs are disabled.
