After migrating from DC to our Cloud test environment, I opened a support ticket to resolve an issue where JavaScript code (converted from Groovy) was executing but not rendering field values on the view screen. Support responded in under an hour with a clear explanation of the root cause and precise instructions on how to update the code. Their guidance resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Truly excellent support, fast, accurate, and actionable.

I worked with Suprija, where I explained the scenario that we currently in Jira server related to calculating the scripted number field(JMCF). She quickly grasped the use case and, based on that, she wrote the JavaScript for the Groovy script that we have. She made solving the complex scenario look effortless. Suprija is incredibly supportive and always responsive to my messages. She is highly knowledgeable and a great resource to work with. Thank you Suprija for your support!!! JMCF is an amazing add-on that works incredibly well on the Jira Cloud site

Fantastic support 5 out of 4 stars! There are significant architecture, language and support changes with JMCF Cloud and DC and their migration support is fantastic 5 out of 4 stars! Although their code editor and UI could do with a polish, support had been great!

Has EXTREMELY limited scripting capabilities in Jira Cloud, scripting is apparently limited to these API methods https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCFC/pages/731676729/Scripted+Field#API-access - All issue fields - api.issue.getField - Users - api.jira.getUser - Groups - api.jira.getGroup and api.jira.getGroupUsers - Projects - api.jira.getProject

Hi Lasse,
Thanks for your feedback on JMCF!
Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! We’re actively expanding our scripting capabilities. Soon, you’ll see new features, including access to additional Jira data like projects, permissions, statuses, issue properties, and field data.
We have the implementation ready, and we are waiting for a release, so keep an eye on the upcoming version releases for more details :)
Furthermore, we’re investigating more API access, including (but not limited to) linked issues. Please let us know if you have any specific APIs you’d like to see. We’d love to chat more about it on our support portal. Let’s work together to make JMCF exactly what you need!
EDIT:
We released a new version of JMCF Cloud that includes the following new methods:
Issue properties - api.issue.getProperty and api.issue.getProperties
Parent and Child issues - api.issue.getParent and api.issue.getChild
Linked issues - api.issue.getLinkedIssues
and many more additional APIs, such as Issue History
You can find our full documentation about JMCF API under this link.
Best,
Paweł, Customer Success Team at Appfire
