Rollup Points helps Jira teams keep parent issues aligned with the latest child-level estimates. The app automatically sums a selected numeric field, such as Story Points, from direct child issues and stores the result on the parent in a read-only Rolled Up Points custom field. Because the value is persisted in Jira, it remains searchable, reportable, and usable in dashboards and filters.

Admins can configure a global default estimate field, enable the app only for selected projects, and override settings at the project level when different teams use different estimation fields or issue type rules. Rollup Points recalculates when relevant child changes happen, supports both company-managed and team-managed Jira projects, and includes diagnostics so teams can see what was counted and what was ignored.
