Native Jira only shows a 24/7 clock and no history. Dwell replays each issue's changelog into a fast in-tenant index, so you get per-status durations and cycle & lead time across any JQL — computed inside your own Atlassian cloud.
Median and p85 surface the slow tail that averages hide. A weekly trend shows whether cycle time is improving, and an aging-WIP list flags open issues already past your p85 — the ones about to stall. Go deeper with flow efficiency (actively worked vs. waiting), the elapsed time between any two statuses, and blocked time from the Flagged field. A dashboard gadget puts the distribution on any dashboard. Reports resolve as the viewing user, so people only see issues they are allowed to.
Every duration is wall-clock, not business hours: a ticket that sits over a weekend counts the weekend.
