The blip list is canonical text in the page body. Move a technology from Assess to Adopt and the same layout re-renders deterministically, with the change tracked in the page history and movement markers on what moved.
The blip list never leaves Atlassian
Blip lists name internal technology choices some organisations treat as sensitive. The radar renders client-side, declares no Forge scopes and no egress, and stores nothing beyond the page, so it stays inside Confluence.
More details
The macro renders a pasted blip list as a quadrant tech radar in the Confluence page. It accepts the Thoughtworks build-your-own-radar CSV convention and the Zalando radar.js JSON dialect, so a team running either tool can paste an existing file.
The blip list stays as canonical text in the page body. Edit a ring assignment and the same layout re-renders deterministically, with the change visible in the page history. The renderer places every blip it can and lists any it cannot.
- Blips carry movement markers and a numbered legend grouped by quadrant and ring.
- Same-site links on a blip open in Confluence.
Download your Radar as an image via a button on the Confluence page. Export your Radar to PDF to view your data as a chart or export to Word to view it as a structured table by quadrant and ring with full descriptions and links.
Data Privacy: Your Tech Radar renders entirely client-side, declares no Forge scopes and no egress, so your data stays inside Confluence.

PDF export now shows the radar itself: Exporting a Confluence page to PDF previously produced Radar's text fallback table. PDF export is now handed to Confluence's page-capture pipeline, so the PDF contains the rendered radar exactly as it appears on the page showing quadrants, rings, blips and your configured quadrant colours (Descriptions and links are hover-only in the live view, so they are not part of the captured PDF)
Word export is unchanged: still the full blip table, full Description and Link columns included. Use it when you need the data in text form.
Also in this release: refreshed macro picker icon.
No new permissions. Radar still requests no scopes, makes no external calls, and stores nothing outside your page.
