More details
Automatically create recurring issues. Recurring Tasks adds the missing capability in Jira: schedule any issue to be created automatically, as often as you need.
Define a rule — project, issue type, summary, and everything else you'd put on the issue — then a cadence, and the issues appear on schedule. Perfect for weekly status reports, daily standups, monthly maintenance, quarterly access reviews, SSL/renewal reminders, and any repeating work.
Flexible scheduling
- Daily, weekly, or monthly, and "every N" — fortnightly, every 3 months, etc.
- Multiple weekdays (e.g. Mon + Wed + Fri).
- Your timezone, done right — pick the time in your local timezone, not UTC
- End date to auto-stop, and skip-if-still-open so you never pile up duplicates.
Full issue templates
- Project, issue type, assignee and reporter (searchable people-pickers), priority, components, labels, description, and a relative due date ("due 7 days after creation").
- Dynamic dates in the summary/description
