Ask Rovo about an attachment
The Lens Attachment Reader joins Rovo Chat. It reads a file on the open work item and answers from it: the columns of a CSV, the error lines of a log, a summary of a workbook, the rows that mention a word.

Someone attaches a 38 MB log to a work item; the next person downloads it to read one line. Lens File Viewer opens it there as a paged table and lists the other data files.
CSV, Excel, JSONL, Parquet, logs and text. Logs, JSONL and CSV open gzipped. Level chips and a next-error arrow on logs; a 120,000-row workbook opens, headers found; any table exports as CSV.
On a site with Rovo, the Lens Attachment Reader agent answers questions about them in Rovo Chat, one file per question, with your Jira permissions. A CSV, JSONL, log or text file is read in its first 4 MB and the answer says so.
Runs on Atlassian with no vendor servers; your browser keeps only the theme, each file's view state, the evaluation notice's two counts and your answer to its one review prompt.
Free up to ten users. Past ten, every user is billed: USD 3.35 per user per month up to 100 users, less on larger sites, a year for the price of ten months, after a 30-day evaluation.

- Parquet footers listing a column the schema lacks are refused at open

One of our test files, a 1.3 KB Parquet whose footer has one byte flipped so a column chunk no longer matches the schema, opened in 2.20.0 with that column missing and no warning. Now the panel refuses it at open as damaged, and so does the Lens Attachment Reader when a Rovo Chat question sends it to that file.
The memory sentence was wrong for some broken files too: on a 1.3 KB Parquet file with a few bytes flipped, 2.20.0 said the panel had run out of memory. Such a file is called damaged now.
A workbook from the same set, its zip directory claiming four gigabytes of compressed data for a sheet in a 2.7 KB file, is refused at once; 2.20.0 spent over a minute asking the file for those bytes, and the agent gave no answer.
