A plain copy shifts columns to the left under every merged cell. The app repeats the value in each cell the merge covered, so every row has the same columns.

Confluence Cloud exports whole pages to PDF and Word, but not a single table. Copy and paste works until a table has merged cells, and then columns drift and totals stop adding up.
Table Export Lite fixes that, free, for any number of users. Add the macro to a page and every table on it gets three buttons: CSV, Excel and Copy. Merged cells are unrolled, so every row keeps the same columns. Choose comma or semicolon as the separator for Excel in any locale. Multi-line cells keep their line breaks.
Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Tables are read with your own permissions and converted inside your browser. The app has no server and runs on Atlassian infrastructure.
